This is a devotional app like no other. Each day, you’ll find a verse, a reflection, and a short prayer written by an indigenous Haggai leader working to end Gospel poverty in their corner of the world. Hailing primarily from Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America, these leaders wrote with you in mind — to encourage, challenge, and equip you in your faith journey. You also get to spend time lifting up the leader before God.

As you read through the daily devotions, you may sense a theme: Jesus, the Light of the World. With threats of violence, natural disasters, and suffering in the headlines nearly every day, it may seem that the world is growing darker by the minute. Each of the leaders included in this app have faced persecution and hardships of one kind or another — many live in dangerous settings even still — yet they are committed to ending Gospel poverty in their nation, because they know there is only one answer to the darkness: Jesus, the Light of the World. As you embark on this devotional journey, may you be comforted knowing that in all circumstances, “the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it” (John 1:5).
